A Note From Marilu

As a teenager I loved taking jewelry and art classes. I had a wonderful high school art teacher who inspired me to pursue a career as a jewelry designer. I was also blessed with two wonderful parents who supported me through art school. I attended The Center for Creative Studies in Detroit Michigan and received a BFA in metal and jewelry.

From the very beginning I knew that one day I would create designs that represented my personal style. I developed my skills and began creating simple and elegant jewelry. Although my designs are simple, they are bold with an architectural look. I use precious metals in my designs in such a manner that the true quality and fine reflective surfaces of the metals are accentuated with crisp edges and structural harmony. I combine precious metals with beautifully colored stones providing each piece with its own sense of balance that represents my design philosophy. Balance, simplicity, and utility are the primary drivers of my design philosophy.

I am truly blessed to do what I love for a living. It is my sincere hope that my jewelry brings you as much joy as creating it has for me.

Thank you!

Marilu Patterson
